On one-side...
Examinations for the students for the Even semester courses who attended classes under the tree were all over and the valuations too are almost over now.
At the same time, classes for this academic year (Odd semester) continues peacefully with the 'fighting' faculty taking classes as usual - under the trees.
On the other-side...
The Bishop's administration and the faculty supporting them continue to take 'classes' in the class rooms. Unqualified 'new' faculty were/are being appointed to handle classes. There is absolutely NO control over the students by them.
The cause for all these is that, the Bishop group's exploitation of the students for their wicked and selfish motives and making them indulge in rowdyism in the recent past. Recall the 14th March 2011 violence that erupted in the college.
Nowadays, one could hear whistles and shouts quite often from the class rooms that are often causing disturbance to faculty and students in the classes - under the trees.
The toilet near Mathematics Hall, used by students and faculty under the trees, continues to stink!
Students indiscriminately and freely use mobile phones in the campus.
They never greet any faculty member leave alone the fighting faculty.
New 'check posts' are being erected in the campus that restricts free movement of faculty and students within the campus. But hooligans still damage the property of hostel warden's residence.
Yesterday (23.08.2011) UNRULY BEHAVIOUR OF A SECTION OF STUDENTS REACHED A PEAK. There was a disciplinary problem soon after the NCC parade! In the college grounds, during the working hours, a student was (Mr. Periyasamy) seriously injured as he was stabbed by a group of students... Mr.Periyasamy had a deep injury in the neck and was profusely bleeding.
Students bring knife to classes and use them... in the campus... and during the working hours... atrocious..
What do the administrators occupying the office now, really nurture..?
Where are they heading the college to?
I felt like crying aloud when I read the news published in 'Thinamani' today (24.08.2011 on page 2).
