STUDENTS AWAIT THE CONDUCT OF EVEN SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

The uncertainty on American College campus has badly affected the students of various courses who are anxiously waiting to write the semester examinations.
Amidst fear of losing an academic year, more so for hundreds of final year students who are concerned about the next step, several students on Friday made an appeal to the State Government and college authorities not to delay the conduct of examinations anymore.
"The fight between two groups in ouir college over administrative matters should not affect our lives. We want the State Government to intervene immediately in the interest of students," A. Vijay, president, American College Students' Federation (ACSF), appealed on behalf of students.

Dr. P.R. Anbudurai, Principal-in-charge told The Hindu that they are expecting the State Government to intervene. Despite several months of waiting, there is no news so far to find a solution to this issue. IT IS FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO INTERVENE AT LEAST IN THE MATTER OF EXAMINATIONS. Let the government have a common agency or let the Madurai kamaraj University complete the process of examinations, he added.

Meanwhile, the ACSF president alleged that 'some outside elements' who were staying on the college campus continued to threaten students.
"We want examinations to happen. More than 700 students will be affected if the situation does not improve," Mr. Vijay said.

The Government should take a decision as soon as possible to solve the problem of this college.
The culprit who is responsible for this entire confusion should be severely punished by law.
