SPECIAL OFFICER DEMANDED FOR AMERICAN COLLEGE

Hindu Student Organisation of Maduari has demanded the Tamil Nadu Government to take measures to resolve The American College issue and appoint a special Officer to run the institution till then.
The Organisation categorically pointed out the plight of students, faculty and non-teaching staff after the illegal 'take-over' of the college. They stated that:

•   the academic year (2010-2011) for the students of the college was yet to  be completed
•   the mark sheets (5th semester) were not provided to the UG and PG final year students
•   the salary for the teachers and non-teaching staff was not provided for the last seven months

They warned that the prolonging problem at the college has endangered the future of the students. Hence, the government should take a quicker decision, else the organisation will conduct series of demonstrations. A resolution regarding this was passed at the one-day spiritual camp organised for the students on 10th July 2011 in Madurai.
