The fraudulent act of Madurai-Ramnad Diocese CSI Bishop Christopher Asir has come to the surface. His malicious intentions of 'taking over' illegally The American College can be well judged by the fact that appeared in a news item in Indian Express dated Jan 10, 2011.
The news says that he has sold a land that had been given with conditions by the government way back in 1911 with a caveat that it cannot be sold. Out of the 30.56 acres given by the government (the old Survey number 163 G, Tallakulam Village), CSI Bishop Asir in 2006, sold about 7 acres in the name of raising funds for CSI. In the dealing, the news says that Rs. 9.76 crores has been lost to the diocese (i.e Bishop has gained out of this) . In this regard, a complaint has been lodged and registered in the Central Crime Branch, Madurai by Christopher Salmond on December 9, 2010.
