SOME TIDBITS ...

There was some problem in disbursing the salary in the first week of October. The bishoporic group, had one register for those 'time servers' and another one with us. We had gone to the court to direct for the payment of salary for ALL while they were insisting salary only for those who were signing in their register. The matter was decided in the court with Justice Suguna who asked the JDCE - Joint Director of Collegiate Education - to check both the registers and disburse salary accordingly. When this was resisted by the counsel of bishopic side Justice reprimanded and asked the JDCE to go ahead.

This is how the salary problem for the regular approved staff was solved.

However the bishoporic group started their mischief when salary for the management staff is to be distributed. They have instructed the Indian Bank for the salary disbursal only for those who are standing on their side. Indian Bank authorities showed their utmost sincerity for this, for obvious reasons. So our staff barged into the bank branch on Friday, 10th Oct. and made the bank accept for the distribution of salary for ALL.

I personally feel that the devotion of our non-teaching staff, management staff and many of the women faculty are to be greatly admired.

Of the 39 regualr non-teaching staff 30 are with us. Simply great!

Management staff being on our side simply shows their committment and nothing else. Hats off to them!

Women faculty - their committment to the cause, standing against all odds and adversitites - it is simply to be seen to be believed.
