மதுரை - ராமநாதபுரம் திருமண்டல சி.எஸ்.ஐ. பேராயர் டாக்டர் கிறிஸ்டோபர் ஆசீர் (வயது 64) கடந்த சில நாட்களாக கல்லீரல் பாதிப்பு மற்றும் ஆஸ்துமா நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டார்.
இந்த நிலையில் நேற்று முன்தினம் அவருக்கு அதிக உடல்நிலை பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. உடனே அவர் மீனாட்சி மிஷன் ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார். அவருக்கு டாக்டர்கள் தீவிர சிகிச்சை அளித்து வந்தனர். இன்று (3.2.2012) அதிகாலை 3 மணி அளவில் பேராயர் கிறிஸ்டோபர் ஆசீர் மரணம் அடைந்தார்.
பின்னர் அவரது உடல் மதுரை சின்ன சொக்கிகுளம் பேராயர் இல்லம் கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டு பொதுமக்கள் அஞ்சலிக்காக வைக்கப்பட்டது. அவரது உடலுக்கு கிறிஸ்தவ போதகர்கள், கல்லூரி பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் திருமண்டல பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள், ஆசிரியைகள், சபை போதகர்கள், முக்கிய பிரமுகர்கள் அஞ்சலி செலுத்தினர்.
மரணம் அடைந்த கிறிஸ்டோபர் ஆசீர் 5.12.1947-ம் ஆண்டு தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் பண்ணைவிளையில் பிறந்தார். அவரது தந்தை ஆசீர்வாதம் நாடார். 30 வயதிலேயே பேராயர் பணிக்கு வந்தார்.
திண்டுக்கல், கன்னிவாடி, வேடசந்தூர், மதுரை சாந்திநகர் ஆகிய தேவாலயங்களில் பணியாற்றி உள்ளார். நாளை காலை 10 மணிக்கு மதுரை நரிமேடு சி.எஸ்.ஐ. கதீட்ரல் பேராலயத்தில் சிறப்பு ஜெபகூட்டத்துக்கு பின் தத்தனேரியில் உள்ள சி.எஸ்.ஐ. கல்லறை தோட்டத்தில் உடல் அடக்கம் செய்யப்படுகிறது. பேராயர் கிறிஸ்டோபர் ஆசீருக்கு ராஜசந்திரகனி என்ற மனைவியும், ஜோதி ஷோபியா என்ற மகளும், ஜெபஜான் ஆசீர், ஜோயல் சாம் ஆசீர் என்ற மகன்களும் உள்ளனர்.

WHEN HE HAS TORTURED HIS COLLEAGUES, CONGREGATION DURING HIS LIFE TIME. ATLEAST THE NEW BISHOP MUST LEARN FROM ASIR'S MISTAKE. WE, THE MEMBERS OF CHURCH ARE EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE TO ELECT A GODLY BISHOP. IF NOT REJECT ALL CANDIDATES. IT'S OUR CHOICE.
ASIR'S FAMILY MUST BE THROWN OUT. HAVE COURAGE. BE UNITED. DO NOT SHOW ANY SYMPATHY TOWARDS THEM. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DO EVIL. FOR GOD HAS DESTINED EVIL FOR DESTRUCTION.
The major problem is over.Take necessary steps to remove all the culprits involved in spoiling the image of the college.Let there be new life with hope for the management, self finance and non teaching staff who stood against the Asir group right from the beginning.
Its good hear the News, the REAL EVIL DEVIL BISHOP has passes away.....We never see such a NASTY & FRAUD Bishopin CSI Diocese... His Son-in-law, Christopher Davamani, he is local ROWDY, What he is going to do???? Taking the American College in his pocket???
The WHOLE Drama is going to come END with smooth solutions....
The Property sold by Asir, who os going to recover??? Esp. the propoery in Pasumalai, Rachaniapuram, K-Pudur and Kodaikannal.....
CSI Cathedral Pastor. Thasiyan is also involved various fraud activities with Bishop. Asir...

Probably Asir is the only person/bishop on earth whose death has brought rejoice to so many people especially in Madurai-Ramnad Diocese. I'm a student in one of the CSI professional institutions. On saturday Asir's family forced us to participate in the funeral at the CSI Cathedral, Narimedu. They took attendance. At last there will be peace for all...
As humans we should stop pointing out the wrongdoings of a person after his death,however cruel he may be.But,we should learn lessons from him.
We should not be careless in college matter thinking that Bishop.Asir is no more.The Bishop's family will surely create a pseudo-sympathy and will try their level best to hold their positions.
Let us Pray that smooth fully Davamani should be sent out of the college and the Faculty who supported Bishop will now align with Dr.T.Chinnaraj group especially from English Department should be dealt carefully,they should be kept at a distance.
Yes correctly said.. only in mythology we hear people rejoicing over a death.. death of evil... Here is an example in reality... Asir's death is surely a diwali day especially for the people of The American College...
Hello Flintonian... come out your shell... Why to hide your true emotions? When thousands of students, their parents, faculty and non-teaching staff and their family suffered just becaise of this single evil minded persons greedy motives.. why shouln't we rejoice his death..
George Selvakumar's death has started the show... now it is Asir ... wait and see what happens to the people who stood behind and who were causes for the vandalism in American College...
