BISHOP ASIR’S LAND LAUNDERING

Toay’s New Indian Express carries an article on “PROPERTY SCAM” that took place in Madurai. The Land grabber is none other than the Madurai Ramand Diocese Bishop Rev Christopher Asir, according to a petition filed by a member of the CSI,  Madurai. There were many such complaints filed against the Reverend for his “(W) holy” amassing activity over the past few years.

In this regard I would like to recall the following articles published in this blogspot.

Looting The Lord: How Corrupt CSI Bishops Become Crorepatis - http://saveamericancollege.blogspot.com/2011/04/corrupt-csi-bishops-looters-of-lord.html

The reverend enjoyed ‘protection’ previously and escaped enquiries sofar. Now the time has come..  he has to meet the ‘dooms day’…

Copy and Paste the following article and send it to CM Cell

RDO SUMMONS CSI BISHOP FOR INQUIRY
By R. Gokul

CSI Bishop Christopher Asir has been summoned by Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Madurai, R. Durairajan to appear before him for an inquiry as the Bishop had allegedly sold part of a land belonging to a trust.
In accordance with the petition dated September 22, 2011 filed by JM Bhaskar of Surveyor Colony, the American Board of Commission assigned 46.71 acres of land pertaining to ‘Lucy Perry Noble Institute For Women’ to the Church of South India Trust Association (CSITA) for utilizing the income for charitable purpose. It was also insisted that the Bishop of Madurai Ramnad Diocese or CSITA will NOT be vested with powers to sell the said CONDITIONALLY ASSIGNED land for any other purpose.
However, the Bishop of Madurai-Ramnad Diocese A. Christopher Asir and ten others (ten commanders?) in contravention of the conditions sold 6.74 acres of the total land in RS. No. 88 at Tallakulam Village in February 5, 2008 for Rs.16,79,10,000. It was alleged that Asir and ten others misappropriated Rs. 7 crore out of the total amount.
According to the petitioner it is clear from the available documents that the sale of the above trust property was UNLAWFUL , ILLEGAL and a CRIMINAL BREACH OF TRUST.
Though repeated petitions had been filed in this regard to the revenue and the police authorities by the members belonging to the CSI, no action had been taken.
Hence, the petioner had submitted a petition before the RDO to take action against the offenders (Asir and ten others) and retrieve the land by cancelling the sale deed and handing it over to the beneficiaries.
According to a summon dated September 23, 2011, the RDO has asked the Bishop to appear at his Office on October 3, 2011 at 11.00 am along with the documents pertaining to the case.
