VHP Flays Cricket Tourney at American College

Prelude:
The Viswa Hindu Parishad, Madurai has been raising voice against the atrocities of the Madurai Ramnad Diocese Bishop Christopher Asir, particularly on this clergy's illegal move to 'take-over' The American College. In April this year, Vishwa Hindu Parishad threatened to file a Public Interest Litigation against the Tamil Nadu Government, Bishop of Madurai-Ramnad Diocese - Christopher Asir, Madurai Kamaraj University and Election Commission for their inaction over the American College issue. (for details visit: http://saveamericancollege.blogspot.com/2011/04/vhp-to-file-pil-against-government.html )
In a blogsite maintained by the Bishop's group questioned, how an Hindu organization can 'interfere' in the administration of 'Christian' institutions? (For details visit: http://savetheamericancollege.blogspot.com/2011/05/vishwa-hindu-parishad-vhp-against.html ). They have painted a  'religious' color to the entire issue, completely eclipsing the main issue. They wanted to take advantage of the  'religious' sentiments of the Christian public. But the CSI Christians know the 'history' of their Bishop, and his attempt to usurp The American College. Bishop's group has forgotten the famous 'kural'

The Viswa Hindu Parishad, Madurai has come down heavily on the 'Sprite Gully Cricket' tournament to be organized at the American College grounds.  In a pressstatement, Chinmaya Somasundaram, district president, VHP,  condemned the college management (currently under the 'illegal possession' of CSI-Bishop's appointee Mr. R. Mohan) which has leased its grounds for cricket tournament and other cinema shootings (for details: http://saveamericancollege.blogspot.com/2011/05/american-college-imbroglio.html )while the future of more than 4000 students has been left in the lurch due to the administrative problems plaguing the college.
When the academic year has already commenced in other educational institutions, the last academic year is yet to get over in this college, the VHP stated  (மெய்ப்பொருள்).
"When will the college commence its next academic year? and
When will the examinations be held in the college? and
When will the certificates be issued to the students?", were the other queries (மெய்ப்பொருள்) he raised.
The VHP also condemned the Coco Cola Company for organizing such events in a college, which has already torn apart due to various problems. (மெய்ப்பொருள்)
It requested the students and youth not to participate in such event when the lives of their brethren was at stake. (மெய்ப்பொருள்).
The VHP has urged the State government to consider the plight of the students and take up the issue on a war footing manner.
AT LEAST THE DISTRICT COLLECTOR WHO IS THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE UP THE COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION TILL THE ISSUES WERE SOLVED. (மெய்ப்பொருள்).
