I was really very happy when I read the news of the meeting between our student representatives and the Collector, Mr.Sagayam yesterday, (Monday, 09-05-2011 in the Collector's office. His instant and positive response to all the students' demands, for which we are grateful to him, has reinforced our faith in officers like him, who stand for integrity, fair-play, truth and justice. On the spot, he contacted the JDCE and asked him to instruct the College 'officers' to keep the hostels open for the students interested in attending classes. He has also promised to take steps to solve the problem the American College is facing now.
This swift and sincere response from the Collector has definitely boosted up the morale of all those engaged in fighting for the College, to retain its individuality and identity, to be a church-related and not a church-controlled College.The young and dynamic Collector has dealt a death-blow to the evil designs of the unscrupulous elements, now in power. Let them know that the day of reckoning is coming and it is coming soon.. Meanwhile, we will carry on with our crusade, with fierce determination and unflinching faith.
