BISHOP, BUFFOONS AND BRIYANI
My funny bone was tickled to the maximum by the first entry in the just opened political section in our IPAC blog: 'Pastors and Briyani packets'. It is spicy and sensible, with wit and wisdom. Whoever has written it has to be appreciated for the way words have been effectively used in a racy style, to bring out the pathos and humour of it all- the way the 'all-powerful' Ayyah changes his colours, so quickly and easily, and the minions, always at his beck and call, ever ready to carry out his 'holy orders', right or wrong, without even a whimper of protest. Doesn't the Bishop present a picture of piety with his robes on and a golden cross (mark of simplicity and sacrifice)?
He has chosen to delight us, the ordinary mortals, during this election time, exhibiting his acrobatic skills- of swinging from one side to the other- without even batting an eyelid. Hey, ho, the buffoons, attired in saintly cassocks, are always there to cheer and do his bidding and thus help him scale greater heights in this art. All in the name of 'Christian votes'. For a 500 rupee note and a packet of Briyani.
But, the funny thing is that he tries to achieve the impossible- of being on both sides at the same time, probably to gain entry into the 'Guinness Book of World Records. Three jeers to Ayyah, the Great.

CSI christians of Madurai-Ramnad diocese should revolt against their dangerous and diabolic bishop Asir. They should come out with open statements and express themselves 'their voice against' the mephistophelean bishop.
