Vocational courses for the differently abled



MADURAI:

Jivana Jyoti, a training institute for the differently abled, at the American College here offers vocational courses for the physically challenged and members of self-help groups and social service organisations.

A 12-month computer training programme will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for those who have appeared for tenth standard examination. Candidates with fifth standard qualification can join the three-month courses in machine and hand embroidery, sari designing and doll making.

Those with eighth standard qualification can participate in the six-month fashion design course. Certificates will be issued on completion of the course by Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped, Chennai.
