A while ago there was a news in TV. The Honorable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu has announced the implementation of the revised UGC pay scales for University and College teachers. What a coincidence. It looks as though the CM was waiting all these days for the American College issue to be well settled before he could make this offer for every one. God is great.
I hope the teachers of the College will stand united and thank the CM and discharge their duties for the glory of THE AMERICAN COLLEGE. The dreams of the founders of the College should always be kept in mind.

We who were the very last of the missionary faculty of the American College really appreciate all that our colleagues have done to save the College in its traditional leadership. Principal Chinnaraj Joseph has been a rock of stability and now has expressed a creative abnd healing touch for the future.
We heartily agree that it is the Faculty of the College who MUST stand tall and make the Institution again one which is a real standout on the National horizon. But correspondingly it is the Students who must respond with the enthusiasm and hard work that will only bring the College to its once-first position among ALL the Colleges of India.
We pray daily for your success in this great and challenging enterprise, and give thanks for y7ou and all our fiormer colleagues and students who have stood by this College through very tough times.
