Hostellers who turned out at the gate from morning were refused admission by the police. Only around 10 am by the insistence of the staff students were allowed inside the campus. Opposite to the Flint House classes were held by the staff till 12.30.

Later staff, both teaching and non-teaching, went to meet C.O.P., Collector and the local inspector to request that students are allowed inside the campus as the college has reopened after the mid-semester holidays.
