Continued good luck in your struggle against the Bishop, and his attempt to wrest the American College away from its proud and independent tradition. This is indeed a sad and troubling time. The situation in Madurai seems to reflect a wider trend of conservatives and fundamentalists in all religious traditions, who choose to fight for superficial difference rather than deeper commonality. We have to remember that the word 'christian' is more important as an adjective than as a noun. The Bishop may call himself a Christian, but his actions are violently un-christian. And it is by his actions that he will be judged.
