This statement should answer all the queries and doubts asked by those who are passively observing the recent happenings.
As an alumnus of the college, though living 1000 miles away from the college and unable to participate in the struggle, my soul and solidarity is there with the staff and students. No one is provoking me to rise against this injustice. But the sheer love for the college keeps me doing so and every event, mentioned in the IPAC blog and by the friends I am in contact with, troubles my conscience that I am not an active part of it.
I would also like to reply to one probable question from those who keep on darting questions doing nothing. "How can you say that the students, alumni and staff both current and retired come forward to fight just by the driving force named sheer love for the college?" is the question.
The reply from the thousands like me would be "We were born and bought in socially and economically ordinary or poor backgrounds. It is this place, where we knew what we are and wrote our destinies. It is not just only the material things like architectural marvel or lush green that is driving us to preserve it, but also the teachers, the culture, the secular nature and other immaterial things that we enjoyed. We want many more of the feudal Madurai also to enjoy the same in the present and the future." As it was said only the alumni and insiders can feel it.

It just breaks an alumnae’s heart to hear, read and see the things happening to our alma mater. The first time that I came to realize that something is hurting The American College was the e-mail I received crying out “save american college” in early april 2008. Since then, the saveamericancollege blog has faithfully recorded almost all the events.
If you see the early blog posting in the light of the interviews and speeches given by the alien invader of our alma mater, it is very clear what the invaders are up to. It is very sad to see george selvakumar being swung around like George of the Jungle. It is so disheartening to see the kind of damage these aliens are doing with a stay on the legitimate order from the Directorate of Collegiate Education.
I share the same feeling as so many of the alumnae who live aboard while watching the damage these aliens are raking on our beloved alma mater. I would like to pledge my support to those who are sincerely struggling with exemplary leadership qualities, showing great determination, courage and conviction in this hour of crisis. I am sure the old students where ever they are, are with them until the rights are established and injustice eradicated and the invasion of the aliens warded off.

IPAC Blog is the first thing I do when I log on to the internet.
I was shattered when I read about How the Bishop entered the American College. If at all we are working in better places, with a good repute...it is all because of the over all grooming that The AC has offered us. Education & Character may be enhanced by many instituations, but the overall grooming one gets can be from a very few colleges and I am proud to have been a part of one such a Jewel of Institutions.
For those who say that the Principal manupulated all the students / alumnus & Lecturers, I have an answer, I did not receive any phone call or mail from Prof. Chinnaraj to support him. I know of my fellow batch mates and a few other AC alumnus who did not receive any 'motivational' mails from him.
Its all the love and the dedication we have for the college that pushes us to do this. One thing for the Bishop and his party, this is not the maximum the alumnus, students, lecturers & staff (both present and retired) can do for the college. We can get to any extent to save OUR alma mater.
Hope you all remember the tamil saying "Anbirku undo adaikkum thaaz"....Its not only the love for the lover....but anything that catagorized as love can not be stopped.

.. waiting for the legal tangles to come to a positive end.
fighting these costly legal battles is also a very big struggle.
people are postponing the urge to go to all alumni for help.
