Prof. A. Winfred was the chairperson and his presidential address was very much pointed. He stressed that the struggle is not just between two individuals -Principal, Chinnaraj Joseph and Bishop Christopher Asir - in stead it is between the Bishop and the college as an entity. To keep up the values for which the college has stood for so long the fight should be continued till the college wins.

It was great to see our former principal, P.T. CHELLAPPA to the strike. Even age and his health did not deter him; he came and stayed in the pandal for more than two hours to show his solidarity. Only such spirit of those who were associated with the college has sustained the legacy of the college.

ஒரு பழைய மாணவனாக தன் ஆசிரியர்களையும், கல்லூரி நினைவுகளையும் நினைவுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து, இந்தக் கல்லூரியின் வரலாற்றுப் பெருமைகளையெல்லாம் துடைத்தழிக்க நினைக்கும் பேராயரின் திட்டங்களைப் பற்றி வேதனையோடு பேசினார்.
அரசு விரைவில் இதில் தலையிட்டு சரியான முடிவுக்கு வரவேண்டும்; இல்லையெனில் பெரிய அளவில் போராட்டம் எழும் என்றார்.

MUTA Krishnamurthy another alumnus, reminisced the day when he got the meaning for our college motto: PURIFICATUS; NON CONSUMPTUS and with all optimism said that the college will definitely come out of this present problem more purified, burning out the trash.
