The First Phase of Struggle - a video

This video shows the First Phase of The American College 'Freedom' struggle, between April 2008 and August 2009.
I started taking photographs from day one when Bishop Asir planned to make an 'invasion' attempt on 19-04-2008, which eventually failed on that day.
On 29th August 2008, Bishop with the help of rowdies and with the connivance of police, 'broke open' the locks of the college offices and took possession of the college.
Bishop and his men were chased out of the college on 29th August 2009 by a High Court verdict.

In a violence broke out on Oct 2008, the hooligans employed by Bishop's men, snatched away my camera, Nikon D40X a DSLR. I lost it forever! After which I couldn't take photos. I bought a new one only a year later.

I take this opportunity to thank all faculty, retired faculty, non-teaching staff and students who fought with us and those who are fighting with us in this II Phase too.
This video will show our determination to fight for our right.
We will never give up.

Here you see a part of the 'striking' teacher taking classes under the tree for students on day 1. Initially, the video shows the "office room" in which (Flint House portico) the college Principal-in-charge and Secretary Dr. P.R.Anbudurai working! .. a small wooden table and a chair. Its a luxury to have a black board!

On 29^th August 2008, Bishop along with rowdies, members of the DMR-CSI Church and with full protection of Madurai Police, illegally took over the college unleashing violence on innocent students and staff who were trying to protect their college.

BUT THE modus operandi IS THE SAME.

IN THE PRESENT ATTEMPT OF TAKING OVER THE COLLEGE, THE BISHOP COULD NOT COME, AS HE WAS/IS SICK (both in the literal and metaphorical sense).
