Moderator’s Peace initiative has kicked up more dust than
expected.
The strange irony is that it is not the church this time,
but it is our own brethren who wanted to victimize certain faculty and
non-teaching staff. As soon as the Moderator announced his intention to address
the issue hectic parleys were held between a section of the faculty represented
by one Mr.A_____ and Mr.Dhavamani chrisotber. Mr.A_____ duped some of his friends and took
them to Kodaikanal on 24th of March to meet with Dhavamani under the
pretext that they were going for a picnic. The purpose was however to strike a
bargain that many faculty and non-teaching staff appointed by Dhavamani would
be saved by sacrificing several from our own side. The bargain did not work out
as some well meaning members called the bluff of Mr.A____. Later Mr.A____was
pulled up by the faculty and several excuses were given by him.
From then onwards several theories were floated by the vested
interest which certainly included our own members. They started telling three
things:
1. “Non-Chritians were in excess…..some of them have to
go first” (Dr.Chelladurai plyed to this tune in his report and blatantly
proposed Christianisation of appointmenents)
2. Those who did not sign the register must go (PRA’s
theory )
3. The service of those who have not put in a minimum of
2 years must be reviewed before he or she is allowed to resume work.
Victimization was in the air as early as March 2012.
Dr.Chelladurai in fact received three lists—from Dr.Chinnaraj joseph,
Dr.P.R.Anbudurai and Mr. Davamani Christober. (Though Dr.Chelladurai
incorporated a few names from Dr.Chinnaraj’s list, he did not acknowledge the
receipt of the report itself from Dr.Chinnaraj for reasons best known to him.
There was also an attempt to prevent Chinnaraj from participating in the
negotiations.)
Now all the management faculty (all theFaculty members as per Dr.TCJ's list as cited below) , non-teaching staff (all the Non-teaching Staff members as per Dr.TCJ's list as cited below) are
in, without a single exception from our side and from their side (those who were
appointed by Mr. Davamani) too!
‘Both
the legitimate and the illegitimate deserve to be cared for’ says the
moderator.
But strangely by not our own leaders.
They have started a blame game
calling who victimized whom and who saved whom.
To avoid further rumor
mongering we publish the comparative statement of the lists submitted to
Dr.Chelladurai.
If you spend a little time analyzing the tables you will
certainly know for yourself who is the victimizer, who is the colluder and who
is the savior.
Life is a zigzag puzzle. Is in’t it?
